Privacy Policy

This page is sample content built to show how a privacy policy fits the site's design system. It does not describe how Viking Cricket Club actually collects, stores or uses personal data, and must not be relied on as the club's real policy.

The club's committee will supply verified wording — covering membership records, junior safeguarding data, contact-form submissions and any future online payments — before this page is used for anything other than design review.

Illustrative categories only: contact details submitted through the Join and Contact forms (name, email, phone, membership preferences), and basic technical data such as browser type, collected automatically by most websites.

No data is actually transmitted anywhere today — both forms on this site are frontend demos with no connected backend (see the note shown on each form's confirmation screen).

Sample purposes only: responding to enquiries, processing membership applications, and keeping members informed about fixtures, training and club events.

The real policy will need to set out the club's legal basis for processing, and how it meets Norwegian and EU data protection requirements (GDPR), once written by the committee.

A real policy would explain how to access, correct or delete personal data the club holds, and how to raise a concern with the relevant supervisory authority. That detail has not been drafted yet — this section is a placeholder heading only.
