The Club
Our story, mission and values.
Founded in 2020, Viking Cricket Club (VCC) is an inclusive, community-driven club dedicated to advancing cricket in Norway. We provide high-quality coaching through qualified trainers and create opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to learn, compete, and grow. Whether you are a beginner picking up a bat for the first time or an experienced cricketer pursuing higher levels of competition, Viking Cricket Club offers a welcoming environment for boys, girls, women, and men alike.
Our journey has seen steady growth and success. After making our league debut in 2021, entering the National Cricket League in 2022, and winning the T20 Championship in 2023, VCC continues to progress through the competitive ranks while focusing on developing well-rounded athletes both on and off the field.
Our commitment to player development is reflected in our achievements beyond club cricket. Viking players have represented the Norway national team, and several current players are part of the Norwegian Cricket Federation's Girls' National Squad Pool and Women's National Team Pool for 2026, highlighting the club's role in nurturing future national talent.
Our mission is to promote and develop cricket in our region by providing quality coaching, competitive playing opportunities, and a supportive community where every player can thrive. We are committed to helping individuals reach their full potential while fostering a lifelong passion for the sport.
