The principles that guide how everyone at Viking Cricket Club plays, coaches, officiates and supports the game.
Viking Cricket Club is committed to maintaining the highest standards of behaviour and sportsmanship. All members, players, coaches and volunteers are expected to uphold these values at all times.
All members are bound by the club's code of conduct and the game's spirit-of-cricket guidelines. Behaviour that brings the club into disrepute — on or off the field — may result in disciplinary action in accordance with the club constitution.
Alleged breaches of conduct are referred to the Executive Committee. The member will be informed in writing and given an opportunity to respond. The committee may issue a warning, suspend, or in serious cases, terminate membership. Members have the right to appeal any decision.
The safety and wellbeing of all members — especially children and young people — is our highest priority. Coaches and volunteers working with juniors are expected to undergo appropriate checks. Any safeguarding concerns should be reported immediately to the club committee.
