Lassa Cricket Club is proud to congratulate Gayatri Gujar for her excellent achievement in representing Norway U19 Women in the 2026 U19 W Nordic Cup, held in Oslo against Denmark U19 Women.

It is a proud moment for our club to see one of our own players wear the national colours and compete at international youth level. Gayatri’s selection to the Norway U19 Women national team is a wonderful recognition of her hard work, dedication and talent, and it is also a proud milestone for Lassa Cricket Club.

The tournament was a challenging one for Norway U19 Women, with Denmark U19 Women winning all three matches. Denmark showed strong performances throughout the series and deserve full credit for their success.

Despite the results, there were still many positives for Norway U19 Women, especially the opportunity for young players to gain valuable match experience at a higher level. These matches are important for the development of women’s cricket in Norway and for building the next generation of players.

For Lassa Cricket Club, the biggest highlight was seeing Gayatri Gujar represent Norway U19 Women with pride. Throughout the series, she showed commitment, fighting spirit and quality, and we are delighted that her performances were recognised with the MVP of the series award.

This is a fantastic personal achievement for Gayatri. To be selected for the national youth team is already a big honour, and to win the Most Valuable Player award in the series makes it even more special.

Gayatri’s success is a great example of what can be achieved through discipline, passion and continuous effort. We hope this achievement will inspire many more young players — especially girls in cricket — to believe in themselves, work hard and aim high.

We also congratulate Denmark U19 Women on winning the series and thank both teams for contributing to the growth of women’s cricket in the Nordic region.
